Just. Breathe.
Madness ensues. I am trying my very very very best NOT to freak out about the fact that "the biggest snow storm since 1996" is supposed to arrive simultaneously with the benefit a bunch of us have been working on for months. Because of the storm, one of the guests of honor is not here, and one of the performers may not make it. In addition to the snow storm, the music directors car won't go into reverse (he lives in Jersey), one of the performers has laryngitis, and who knows if they will deliver the baby grand piano we faught to be allowed to bring in the weather.
Zen. Whatever happens happens, whatever comes comes, and I can only control what I control... breathe...

Texas. I'm Into It.
Why I love Houston:
Last weekend I went to Houston for the NU Alumni Regional Leadership Conference. The conference was great, and I met some great fellow alumni. However, the highlight of the trip remains our visit to the famed City Lights, a night club, in a strip mall. Now, I have to be honest here and admit that I have been to a night club in a strip mall once before, but that's all I'll say. City Lights, however, is not just any normal night club, it's a veritible festival of alcohol induced Southwestern fun - from the fajita stand at the entrance, to the long neck Bud's for $2.75, to the shoe shine stand (where I got my first shoe shine!). On the top floor is a 70's/80's dance club and a tecnho club - complete with cage. On the ground floor you have a billiards bar, a Karaoke bar, and the centerpiece of City Lights, a Country and Western bar (with a round dance floor, just right for two steppin') where every hour on the hour they play top 40 music for 10 minutes. BRILLIANCE.

Help Me.
Ok. There's this TV station in CA that did a neighborhood piece on these annoying car accessories and in the process interviewed the world's MOST IGNORANT MAN who has now become an internet celebrity. Start by viewing the original clip at all costs. I spent an hour trying to get to work on my machine and it was worth EVERY SECOND.
Bubb Rubb "Official Site" has the best video clip
Bubb Rub Info Page has insanely hilarious crap including but not limited to - Bubb Rubb Sound Board
There is a dissertation in here somewhere about so many things. I really don't know whether to laugh or cry, or to laugh until I cry, which is actually what I just did.
