Exchange of the day: Nicole:

Exchange of the day:

Nicole: Life is just like high school, we're just older and have less of an excuse.

Ed: Yeah, and easier access to booze.

Why do people insist on not being straight forward? Would not the world be more simple and stress free if everyone would just dispense of the denial and drama and say what they mean and mean what they say? People build these entire existences around the denial of things - sexuality, unhappiness, insecurity, etc. - and waste so much energy being anything but true to themselves. It's hard to watch, it's hard to be around, and it's annoying. But it is the world we live in. I suppose all I can do is strive not to participate.

On a lighter note, only one more shopping day until Talk Like a Pirate Day!
