Home Again, Naturally
Home in Edwardsville, realizing for the moment that the only reason I haven't moved back here is that I have this weird hangup that I'll narrow my chances of "meeting someone" if I do. However, the mere act of writing that down makes me realize just how inane and ignorant that thought process is. Am I now officially on a 3 year plan to move back to my home town?
Saw Cold Mountain today. All I have to say is that all people who are involved in perpetuating a relationship that is not 100% honest and pure should be ashamed. People have walked through hell to be with each other for like a minute, and here we are getting married to people who have the right occupation or who would make good breeding partners. It's an insult to anyone who has ever made a sacrifice to be with someone they really truly love to participate in a relationship anything more than genuine. In our days of match.com and jdate.com it's way too easy to be "in love." So few of us really know what it's all about. I think. Not that the execution of the movie was all that. But the concept on which it was based just made me think. I am officially done wasting my time, energy and what I have to give - 'cause I got a lot to give and ain't just anybody worthy :) . . .

I was just reading over
I was just reading over my Apple store post and I can't believe I left out the Switch lady.
A woman walked into the store, looking overwhelmed, yet peaceful. She clearly didn't know a firewire cable from a hole in the wall. She waited patiently for a saleperson.
"Can I help you?"
"Yes, um. Well, a few months ago I was given an iPod as a gift - and I just love it! I love the way it works and how you use it . . . and . . . well . . . I, uh, well, I . . . I want to switch."
Nearly killed me. I was waiting for the balloons and trumpets and acrobats, but that only happened in my head.
BTW, I am now the proud owner of an iPod. Long live apple.

Saw Gypsy tonight. I have
Saw Gypsy tonight. I have one word.
HORNS.
It's worth seeing merely to hear the score performed live.
HORNS!

My new phrase is apparently
My new phrase is apparently using the word "crack" in place of the words "a mess" or "insane" or "ridiculous" or "completely idiotic" or whatever else.
For example, we just got in a new order of Post-it Notes. They're the accordian kind instead of all having the sticky @ the same end. "That's crack."
