Kwame so got the better
Kwame so got the better deal. All the fame of the top 2, with none of the restrictions and all the flexibility in the world. Gotta love it.

I'm kinda confused (which is I guess nowadays what makes me an American) after last night's press conference. How can that man be president? Really? Forget who he beat (or didn't). It seems as though we'd be better represented if we just dispensed of him and let the administration run things without a figurehead. No, really.
Wow.

My favorite thing about the show last night was that there were 20 people in the audience who knew full well that I have no business singing about the Ghetto. Ah, but you see, y'all don't know... ok. Maybe you do. Anyway, as per usual, Maya put on an incredible show last night @ The Blue Note. I guess I could have used my brain, but I hadn't really realized that she show would be so "jazz" - I just didn't really think about it. But up there on stage, it totally WAS. We made up a song on the spot, which was basically a jam session, and yours truly has clearly never participated in such before. After crapping my pants, it was a hulluvah lot of fun :). The guest MCs were from Real Live Show and their new video? Is cool.

If you're a Manhattan-ite, The Manhattan Users Guide is generally pretty dern good daily reading. Varied, informative and written with a sense of humor. Depending on the topic, some days I delete it after a glance, but most days I read from top to bottom.
I have such an odd relationship with The New Yorker. Up until 2 years ago I was definitely sure it was the most pretentious thing this side of I don't know what. I'm still not sure, but I have grown to like it anyway :).
This Talk of The Town article does a great job of illustrating how the White House is apparently, along with the rest of the workings of the world, just like High School. The cool kids do what they want, the not-cool-kids want to be cool therefore blindly following the cool kids, kids who are cool will do anything to stay cool, and the smart kids watch with continued amusement knowing that one day, all will be clear and everyone will see that the cool kids? Were idiots. Too bad in this case lives are at stake.

Sunday night the old vball
Sunday night the old vball team went out to Rosa Mexicano for Curly and Seans birthdays. We have a fabulous dinner, then the dessert menu comes out. Among the many very phancy sounding desserts you'd expect to find on the menu, is "something-i-can't-remember served with a cream made from the three milks." For the next 5 minutes all 10 of us speculated and debated as to which three milks constituted "The" three milks - goat? Cow? Sheep? Lamb? Mother's? When the waiter came, Jon immediately asked him what the three milks were.
"Condensed, evaporated and powdered."
Hell yeah.
