A Night on the Town

Last night we went to dinner and a movie. How we've dated for two months and are just now going to dinner and a movie is beyond either of us, but there it is.

We went to 1111 Mississippi. Now, we were both excited to go. Cameron because he hadn't been, and me because I'd been for lunch and was anxious to try dinner. The atmosphere is great. Jazz music, modern design, open kitchen, good service. They have a great wine selection I would definitely go back just for the bar scene. The meal, however, not so great. My stomach is definitely still recovering a bit from the greasiness of my steak. And Cameron's potatoes were undercooked. By the end of my meal I was nauseous. We were supposed to have our dinner club there this Saturday, but we're glad that we couldn't get a reservation and are instead going to Big Sky Cafe - b/c who wants to be nauseous on a Saturday night?

Then we went to see The Ballad of Jack and Rose. Which was well made, and interesting enough, but then not very interesting at all really. It moved pretty slowly. But the characters were interesting, if not a little predictable and pat.
