If The Ride is More Fly, Then You Must Buy

Riddle me why Snoop Dog's new Chrysler commercial is as funny as it is. The whole fashizzle thing is like, what &mdash at least 5 years old? Aren't advertising creative teams supposed to be up on the latest? Cutting edge? This commercial is so 2000 - no, I'm almost sure more like 1997 — yet my Dad is obsessed. I even laugh every time I see it. More support for the fact that things take about 5 years to hit the mainstream - though I could have sworn the whole "izzle" thing already hit the mainstream and gone the other way — is this a third wave? So I guess props to the creative team for knowing that something so 1997 that has already been played could still be funny and knowing how to make it so?

I'm still confused.

In other news, the wild animals outside are going insane. As I sit here, there are bird flying willy nilly and squirrels acting insane. Something wicked this way comes?

we were surprised by that commercial too. we we just sat there like...huh? what year is it? is that really selling those cars? in general, i'm just so confused by snoop dogg. how did he get to be so mainstream anyway? all he talks about is smoking weed, cripping and pimping. isn't that supposed to be america's nightmare? =) but people just love that guy. go figure. at least he has his little kids football team...or is it baseball...=)
