Get With the Program

Why is it that no hotel in St. Louis can truly handle a major event? Every time I attend something at a downtown hotel, the service is a complete cluster$%&#.

We just pulled up to the Millennium hotel for the Sports Writer's Association dinner where no one was at the valet stand. We pull down further where we see a guy working, whom we ask about valet. He tells us to make the loop again to where we saw no one. We do so, at which point we are told that "there is no valet."

So wait. "World champion" St. Louis Cardinals event with national attention and there's "no valet?" Are you trying to be a real city or not?

So Cameron goes to park the car and I start this entry.

Then we get downstairs and go into th main ballroom, which smells like... wait for it... a frat house.

But now we're into the program, and I really just have one question: Lou Brock, Nipsey Russell, Ed Hightower - discuss.

Glenn Brummer "I'm just here for the bud light."
