Facebook

Since I first opened a Facebook account, I've been saying that it's revolutionary.

To me, it's a given that it makes myspace completely moot. So it wasn't until about a week or two into my newfound Facebook evangelism when someone asked why it was any different that I bothered to form the thought in my head.

But this evening, having been told that someone had friended me on myspace, I logged in for the first time since I joined Facebook. After about 5 minutes, it was clear that my time on myspace was through. The only reason I will go on myspace moving forward is to see who's friended me, and to regularly persuade all my myspace friends to get their asses over to Facebook.

In the five minutes I was logged onto myspace, I was show two messages from a "friend" that were really from a hacker that had invaded her account, I got two load errors, 3 page errors and every single page loaded at the speed of lard. It was already a ridiculous user experience, but after using Facebook for a month and THEN using myspace, it was more clear than EVER that its existance actually an affront the the internet.

UGH.

So come friend me over at Facebook :). Search Nicole Hudson Hollway.

Just today, I went on a mini-rant extolling the virtues of Facebook v. MySpace at BloggingStocks today:

Everything you say is 1000% correct. Thanks so much for encouraging me to leave MySpace for Facebook. In other words, to ditch the zeros and run with the heroes ... or something.
